Blue Arrow Farm

Some venues are simply beautiful. Blue Arrow Farm is beautiful and full of heart. Tucked into the countryside of Pine Island, New York, it is a working farm and animal rescue, complete with a butterfly sanctuary, honeybees, an art gallery and rolling fields that stretch toward wooded hills. It made for one of the most joyful, unexpected wedding days we photographed in 2025.

The day began with getting-ready portraits, the groom against a wall of greenery and the bride on a sunlit wooden porch. Before the ceremony, the couple shared their first look on a deck overlooking the fields, a quiet moment that ended in laughter and a kiss beneath the veil.

Their wedding party, the bridesmaids in soft shades of sage, brought all the energy you could hope for. There were portraits along the farm’s black wooden fences, big hugs among the groomsmen and plenty of laughter in between.

The ceremony took place on a stone terrace under an arch of white flowers and flowing fabric, framed by the valley and the woodland beyond. The bride walked down the aisle beneath a clear September sky, and the recessional was pure celebration.

Then came the part only Blue Arrow could offer. Still in their wedding attire, the couple visited the farm’s rescue horses, who greeted them in the stable and nuzzled right in for portraits, followed by a very curious pig. As the sun lowered, we slipped away to the pond for golden-hour portraits by an old wooden boat, with the light turning everything warm.

The reception filled the farm’s hall, with its wooden beams and glowing string lights. After a floral-topped cake and a sweet first dance, the dance floor stayed full for the rest of the night.
